RF Field Service Associate

Location: Syracuse, Rochester – NY (ON SITE)

Job Description

• Minimum 2 years work experience in a related wireless or networking field.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering and/or Computer Science, military training, or equivalent work experience.
• Strong background and experience with RF and wireless technologies. Demonstrated the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot various electronic and RF systems.
• Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills; the ability to directly interface with customers and vendors; maintain a professional appearance; and work independently.
• Able to Travel locally within the customer region as much as 50% of the time. Possibility to travel out of state to other customer locations as much as 25% of the time.
• Must possess a valid driving license and clean DMV.
• Analytical problem-solving skills.
• Work independently and multi-task with minimum supervision.
• A strong understanding of RF and propagation theory as well as experience with RF test equipment and tools such as spectrum analyzers, power meters, sweep testers.
• Understanding of TCP/IP and routing concepts.
• Strong PC skills with software such as, Excel, Word, and Power Point.
• Experience and knowledge of gas, water and electric utility meters and related technologies
• Experience with GIS mapping software such as MapInfo
• Experience with GPS and coordinate data
• Experience with RF propagation software
