Statement of Work-Senior Java\/Angular Web Developer SOW<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This Statement of Work (\u201cSOW\u201d) is between the Vendor and the Department of Technology Services (DTS) for the Department of Workforce Services (DWS). This engagement is to provide DTS\/DWS<\/p>\n\n\n\n

with professional services expertise as a Senior Java Web Developer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

License Scope DTS is responsible for all licensing requirements of their environments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Utah Department of Workforce Services is actively looking for two senior Java\/Angular web consultants for immediate hire on the Core Web Team. Our team\u2019s core responsibility is to develop,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

support, modernize and maintain internal and public facing web applications that serve the needs of the citizens of the State of Utah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As an example, during the Covid 19 pandemic, in three weeks, our team built the platform behind https:\/\/rentrelief.utah.gov\/<\/a> that allows the Department of Workforce Services to provide emergency<\/p>\n\n\n\n

rental assistance to tens of thousands of people that have faced or currently face eviction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whether you prefer a long term or fast-paced, short term project, this is the team for you. We have more than 60 applications in production and many more in the pipeline. You will always be<\/p>\n\n\n\n

challenged with exciting new ideas and technologies such as Amazon Web Services, CI\/CD with GitHub Actions and implementing a DevOps culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Required Qualifications<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Experience with modern web development technologies including but not limited to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

o Java Web APIs in the modern Spring stack (Spring MVC \/ Spring Boot \/ JPA)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

o Angular user interfaces<\/p>\n\n\n\n

o Relational database design with Oracle\/PostgreSQL<\/p>\n\n\n\n

o Bootstrap 7+ responsive design<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Experience with Agile development methodologies such as SCRUM including experience<\/p>\n\n\n\n

with the Atlassian tools (Jira\/Confluence), sprint planning and retrospectives, and regular<\/p>\n\n\n\n

team stand-up meetings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Experience working on a development team in both new and existing projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Experience with GitHub and GitFlow Pull Request model<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Excellent oral and written communication<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf At least 7+ years of Information Technology experience<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Preference given to candidates with the following qualifications:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Experience with GitHub Actions including automated CI\/CD<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Experience with AWS services for web applications including but not limited to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Experience with Infrastructure as Code with Terrafor<\/p>\n\n\n\n
